Viewing Angle Guide
|
Angle |
Primary Application |
|
0° |
Direct forward visualization - best for unique anatomical positioning, initial abdominal survey, and procedures requiring straight-line instrument alignment |
|
30° |
Standard operative configuration - the most widely used angle for the vast majority of laparoscopic minimally invasive surgical procedures; enables angled viewing around structures without repositioning the trocar |
The 30° configuration is the clinical standard for most laparoscopic procedures. The 0° scope is preferred for procedures requiring direct axial visualization and precise depth perception.
Core Specifications
This rigid laparoscope is particularly designed for use in departments such as general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and urology. The 10mm diameter with 330mm working length provides the optical cross-section required for standard laparoscopic procedures, while the 5mm configuration offers a reduced-diameter option suited to diagnostic laparoscopy and port-site considerations in multi-trocar setups.
Both the 0° and 30° configurations are clinically established and aligned with the requirements of the large majority of laparoscopic minimally invasive surgical procedures.
Material and Sterilization Performance
Medical-Grade Stainless Steel Construction The main body of the laparoscope is manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel, providing outstanding corrosion resistance, bend resistance, and mechanical strength - enabling the instrument to withstand repeated surgical handling and sterilization over its full service life.
Sapphire Glass Optical Window The optical window is constructed from medical-grade high-transmittance sapphire glass, which provides exceptionally high light transmission and superior optical stability compared to standard glass alternatives - contributing to consistent image brightness and clarity across the instrument's working life.
High-Temperature and High-Pressure Steam Sterilization The laparoscope supports autoclave sterilization at 134°C and 0.22 MPa, and has been validated to withstand a minimum of 200 high-pressure steam sterilization cycles without degradation of optical performance or structural integrity.
Storage and Maintenance Requirements
When not in use, the laparoscope must be stored in a dedicated shockproof, pressure-resistant packaging case lined with polyurethane foam to prevent impact, bending, or loss of the scope body, and to protect the optical window from scratches and abrasion.
After packaging, the instrument must be stored in a dedicated instrument cabinet with relative humidity not exceeding 80%, free of corrosive gases, well-ventilated, cool, and dry.
As a reusable surgical endoscope, the laparoscope must be cleaned and disinfected immediately after use to remove blood stains and tissue residues from the scope surface prior to autoclave sterilization. After sterilization, the instrument must be stored in accordance with sterile storage requirements in a sterile cabinet.
After-Sales Service Commitment
This rigid laparoscope is covered by a 12-month "Three Guarantees" warranty (repair, replacement, and return) from the date of sale, provided the product is operated and maintained correctly.
Within the warranty period, if the product experiences non-human-induced failures - such as optical performance degradation, seal damage, or loose components - free repair, replacement, or return services will be provided.
If product damage results from improper use, insufficient maintenance, unintentional impact, or dropping, repair services will be provided with charges covering only replacement component costs and round-trip transport fees.

FAQ
Q: What is the difference between the 0° and 30° laparoscope?
A: The 0° scope provides direct axial forward visualization and is preferred for procedures requiring precise straight-line depth perception and unique anatomical positioning. The 30° scope allows the surgeon to view at an angle without repositioning the trocar, making it the standard configuration for the majority of laparoscopic minimally invasive procedures.
Q: What diameter should I choose - 5mm, 5.5mm, or 10mm?
A: The 10mm diameter provides a larger optical field, higher light transmission, and better image quality, and is the standard for most operative laparoscopic procedures. The 5mm and 5.5mm scopes are used for diagnostic laparoscopy, procedures where port-site size is a consideration, or as a secondary camera port in multi-trocar setups.
Q: What sterilization method is supported?
A: The laparoscope supports high-temperature and high-pressure steam autoclave sterilization at 134°C and 0.22 MPa, validated for a minimum of 200 cycles.
Q: What is the optical window material?
A: The optical window is made from medical-grade high-transmittance sapphire glass, selected for its superior light transmission, optical stability, and scratch resistance compared to standard glass.
Q: Is OEM branding available?
A: Yes. Logo engraving, private-label packaging, and custom IFU documentation are available from 1 unit per SKU.
Q: What warranty is provided?
A: A 12-month Three Guarantees warranty (repair, replacement, and return) is provided from the date of sale under normal use and appropriate maintenance conditions.
